Centering Leadership in Presence I & II at Omega Institute
Learn to use the power of centering to take your leadership capacity to the next level with Reverend angel Kyodo williams Sensei.
A new era calls for a new way of leadership, one that can be cultivated by anyone.
More than a position, being a true leader calls us to practice ways of being that catalyze collective action toward a shared vision. Yet most of us have learned leadership approaches that have two major obstacles:
- They don’t stimulate the pressure we feel when confronting everyday situations
- They use approaches of the mind to address habits, patterns, and behaviors that are held in our body
The result? We find it difficult to translate our training and our best intentions into how we show up as leaders.
This workshop, for all who identify as women, combines training for the heart-mind with training for the body-mind to present another way. Rev. angel’s Third Way methodology teaches self-diagnostic tools and practical skills you can apply in the moment and over time to take your leadership capacity to the next level.
You learn to use the power of centering in presence to manage personal energy, exhibit grace under pressure, and listen without taking things personally. You go beyond mind-only practices that allow patterns of ancestral, generational, and day-to-day anxiety to drive you. And you tap into the deep wisdom of your body to develop positive boundaries, increase self-awareness, and release unwanted behaviors with self-compassion, humor, and love.
Return participants are welcome to deepen into Level II training.

Practicing Justice East
Rev. angel Kyodo williams and Rusia Mohiuddin co-facilitate their signature breakthrough embodiment/somatic-based training: Practice Justice in a 4-day retreat format.
What’s this retreat about?
The Practicing Justice retreats use a somatic lens to un-layer, unpack & reveal the many ways oppression limits our ability to align our leadership with the values & principles that drive our work. By awakening deep understanding, this training enables individuals to generate new pathways towards a whole & complete shape that can hold our true individual & collective leadership potential in service of our liberation.
Somatics is a methodology that combines the biological & social sciences to provide a framework for analysis & action. at its core, somatics posits interconnection & balance of mind, body, & mood.
The use of somatics in leadership, begins by examining unconscious practiced behaviors, established by our interactions with family, community, & society throughout our lives, that blocks us from taking empowered action on our own behalf & ultimately aligning our behavior with our values & principles. it continues by establishing physical, emotional, & mental practices that shake up & shed these binds.

Yoga, Healing, & Liberation – Leadership Intensive
Rev. angel Kyodo williams will be the guest presenter in this 4-day social justice with training by Off the Mat, Into The World, together with OTM Founders, Seane Corn, Hala Khouri, and Suzanne Sterling.
From their website:
“After a decade of teaching their signature intensive together, OTM founders have created a new training with a specific focus on building the deep connections between our personal healing and collective liberation. This requires a paradigm shift that challenges many of the beliefs and assumptions that influence our thoughts and actions. We will explore:
The myth of individual liberation: interdependence as our deepest truth
The limits of rational thinking: embodiment, ritual and symbols as sources of knowledge
Imagining our future: moving beyond criticism of what is into dreaming what we want
Each day will begin with a yoga and somatic practices meant to ground the themes into our body, hearts and minds. The afternoons will be spent doing interactive work exploring the themes and generating ideas and wisdom as a collective. This training is for anyone interested in deepening their leadership and understanding of the current challenges that face our planet today. We are interested in looking at the current political landscape in a psychological, symbolic and practical way.
Day 1 & 2: Beyond the Chakras: separation as the root of our suffering. Exploring personal and ancestral history’s influence on how we walk in the world.
Day 2 & 3: I am not free until everyone is free- justice as how we live love in public
Day 3 &4: What are we imagining? Creating visions of the future. What kind of world do we want to contribute to and what steps does it take to get there?
You do not have to be a yoga teacher or a yoga practitioner to attend. We strive to make this work for people of all abilities so please inquire if you have a disability or are differently abled. Basic experience with yoga is helpful but not required if you are comfortable trying something new in this context. Reach out to us with any questions or concerns.”
