Centering Leadership in Presence I & II at Omega Institute

Learn to use the power of centering to take your leadership capacity to the next level with Reverend angel Kyodo williams Sensei.

A new era calls for a new way of leadership, one that can be cultivated by anyone.

More than a position, being a true leader calls us to practice ways of being that catalyze collective action toward a shared vision. Yet most of us have learned leadership approaches that have two major obstacles:

  • They don’t stimulate the pressure we feel when confronting everyday situations
  • They use approaches of the mind to address habits, patterns, and behaviors that are held in our body

The result? We find it difficult to translate our training and our best intentions into how we show up as leaders.

This workshop, for all who identify as women, combines training for the heart-mind with training for the body-mind to present another way. Rev. angel’s Third Way methodology teaches self-diagnostic tools and practical skills you can apply in the moment and over time to take your leadership capacity to the next level.

You learn to use the power of centering in presence to manage personal energy, exhibit grace under pressure, and listen without taking things personally. You go beyond mind-only practices that allow patterns of ancestral, generational, and day-to-day anxiety to drive you. And you tap into the deep wisdom of your body to develop positive boundaries, increase self-awareness, and release unwanted behaviors with self-compassion, humor, and love.

Return participants are welcome to deepen into Level II training.

Radical Dharma Practices: Deepening the Work of Meeting Race in the Body

Rev. angel returns to Seattle for the 4th time in two years for the first-ever Practices of Radical Dharma.

Regardless of your race, no one imagines that disrupting whiteness in our daily body-mind habits — external and internalized, coarse and subtle, overt and micro, behavioral and energetic — will happen by reading Facebook, good intentions, great information or even attending an awesome training.

You have been “practicing” inside your expected race roles before you could choose. You need to practice to find your way out.

Our racialized thoughts, behaviors and actions have been instilled through generations, lifetimes and since our own first painful and confusing awareness that race matters. You have been “practicing” inside your expected race roles before you could choose. You need to practice to find your way out.

In this next-level intensive for previous Radical Dharma practitioners, Rev. angel Kyodo williams prescribes a set of practices and exercises that, taken together and oriented toward the disruption of our inherited race habit-patterns, offers you an offramp from the rage, confusion, and despair, and sets you firmly on the path of liberation.

Practice who YOU want to be, not what was chosen for you.

Practice who YOU want to be, not what was chosen for you. Join this powerfully engaged weekend designed to move beyond talk-fixing or arguing on social media to get race out of your head and discover the pattern-interrupting Practices of Radical Dharma — a more complete truth — that returns you to the body of relationship with people across lines of difference, and most especially love with yourself.
