She’ll give a talk, titled “The Hidden Other: When Mindfulness Meets Unconscious Bias,” that’s sure to hit home given the prevalence of structural racism in the U.S., made obvious by recent police brutality committed against black U.S. citizens Sandra Bland and Michael Garner.
