Radical Dharma: Embodying Race, Love, Liberation with angel Kyodo williams and Fu Schroeder

24 July 2020 - 26 July 2020

Virtual Event Virtual Event

Join Rev. angel Kyodo Williams and Abiding Abbess Fu Schroeder in perhaps the most incisive eastern spirituality workshop to directly address the role spirituality, dharma and personal practice in these critical times that call for our sustained awareness, presence and action.

Come explore what a “radical Dharma” really means in light of our aspiration to live for the benefit of all beings.

Originally scheduled pre-pandemic and pre-uprisings of Black Lives Matter, the content will directly speak to this moment and movement and our roles. This virtual workshop will allow us time to speak openly and deeply about our collective pain at being separated from one another by perceived differences, not only of race but also of gender, ability, age, and sexual identity. We will endeavor to connect to one another through our shared commitment to the Buddhist teachings of ethics and compassion as expressions of the Bodhisattva Vow. Using the historical context, our own embodied practice, and a commitment to radical candor, our intention as leaders of this workshop is to explore the necessary conditions for creating an enlightened society for all together.

No one turned away for lack of funds.
