Rev. angel Kyodo williams will share her new film, Resilience: Vision for a New America to the Carver Theater in Austin, TX. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m for light refreshments, the film will begin at 7:00 pm. Afterwards, there will be a discussion. Donations will be accepted.
A film looking at human rights under threat in the current political climate in the US, this film portrays diverse individuals in a country undergoing an enormous identity crisis. The film stars angel as a leading protagonist, and aims to invigorate a world in which there is space for the humanity of all.
The last years have seen both in the US and the Netherlands a resurgence of a strong anti-racist and pro-feminist activism. And both here and in the US, coalition is thwarted by often bitterly polarized discussions around identity.
