Beyond survival and security, self-determination is the underpinning of justice…Beyond simple survival, being able to determine our own path is the hallmark of self-expression, self-fulfillment, and most importantly, self-love.

Questions abound as to how the all-knowing US didn’t see such a wave of revolutions forthcoming: America’s deep-seated racism and perceived religious-cultural superiority conspire to make the quiet swelling of a sea of brown and black People calling for their freedom with fearlessness, grace, and unwavering determination a political improbability. To see them do it in succession, leaving the realm of mere anomaly? Impossible.

Waving their flags of red, white, and black with defiance and dignity, destiny is on the side of revolution and the government must finally yield to the eternal law of change. What I see in Egypt is all the people of the world that seek out justice when it is too long denied, insist upon equality when it is too long imbalanced, and take back freedom when it is too long withheld.

I propose one single resolution that we can take on right now: A resolution for revolution. I propose that we put our efforts into forming a new state. A state of the union. I propose that we become a single movement of movements. I propose that we become one.

Start the movement toward dismantling punitive justice and discovering the justice that comes from love: What is it that we have to see? What do we have to deconstruct? What are we holding onto that it’s time to dismantle in our own hearts so that we can create more space for real justice? This is justice that arises, not out of a sense of punishment, but out of a sense of love, justice that serves and embodies love. Not justice that is confused and mistaken for punishment.

I got the news that I was selected last night at 9 pm. “pack your bags” my friend and coordinator of the media team said. “you’re on the list. you’re going.”Looking into the only heart that knows, I realize, with all the complexity, that I am not here for reasons humanitarian or political in the conventional sense. I am here by the call of Spirit. I am here as a priest. I am here in my role as a fellow human being Bearing Witness to what too much of the world has ignored for far too long.

Commit to taking the Whole Foods Boycott to another level by telling Whole Foods “I Don’t Buy It.” It’s time to increase the pressure and urgency on Whole Foods. Some powers that be, naysayers, talking heads, and even John Mackey may believe Whole Foods can just wait out a boycott and continue business without significant impact on their bottom line. I don’t buy it. And you shouldn’t either.

We, the willing practitioners of transformative social change, are the only ones who can shift the paradigm. We are the moral & inspirational frontline of America. Like no other movement before us, we span the globe, defy description, and transcend all boundaries: some of us wealthy in cash, some in culture, we are cross-class and transgendered, Caucasian and Cablinasian, neo-social and hyper-spiritual, we bow at the altar of Authenticity.
